Twenty six students constructed the 23rd home under the program.
It is a colonial style located on a large landscaped lot, featuring
a brick and wood exterior, large energy efficient casement windows
and interior oak stairs and railings. There are three bedrooms,
walk-in closets, including a master bedroom with a whirlpool bath
and natural light. A first floor den-guest room, a great
room with fireplace; a large kitchen and breakfast area.
The great room opens onto a large wood deck. There are three
full baths, one half bath and a first floor laundry room with
storage. Other features include an energy efficient
furnace/air conditioning system, cable TV, and phone outlets in
all rooms, super insulation and many special storage areas.
Jason Wright was the student designer with interior decoration
designed with the assistance of Richard Adams Russell, Inc.
The instructors were Lloyd Cochran and Assistant Robert Mullins
and Dick Russell was President and Builder of Record. The
home sold for $ 245,000.
