The 21st quality home was built by fifteen students. It
is a traditional style, located on a large landscaped lot, featuring
a cedar and brick exterior, large casement windows, and interior
oak stairs and railings. There are three bedrooms, including
a master bedroom with two walk-in closets, whirlpool bath and
lots of natural light; a first floor den-guest room, a great room
with fireplace, a large kitchen featuring oak cabinets, fine appliances
and a breakfast area. The great room opens onto a large
wood deck.
There are three full baths, one half bath, and a first floor
laundry room with lots of storage plus energy saving features,
cable, T.V. and phone outlets in all the rooms, super insulation
and many special storage areas. A large basement is finished
off with a fireplace, large windows and a sliding door leading
out to a running brook.
Former Assistant Lloyd Cochran became the new Instructor with
Robert Mullins becoming the Assistant. Student designer
Eric Wayne’s design was chosen from several which were drawn
in the Huron and Pioneer Architectural drafting classes.
The interior decoration was designed with the assistance of the
Anderson Paint Company. William Kinley, The Phoenix Company,
continued as President of the Board and Builder of Record.
The home sold for $289,900.
