The  1988 house was built by 20 students in the program.  It was a contemporary style, located on a large lot on a quiet court, featuring an aluminum siding exterior; large south facing casement windows with the circle top style and open plan with oak stair railings, and high cathedral ceilings.  There are three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with two closets, a cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light; a first floor den-guest room, a great room with cathedral ceiling and energy efficient fireplace; a large kitchen with built-in pantry, appliances and a breakfast area which opens onto a large wood deck;  three and one-half baths, a first floor laundry room with lots of storage.

Other features of the 18th home include an energy efficient furnace/air system, a built-in alarm system, cable T.V. and phone outlets, super insulation and many special storage features. Robert Guenther continued as Builder of Record and President of the Board with Tom Lancaster as the Instructor and Lloyd Cochran,  Assistant Instructor.  The house sold for $ 255,000.
