Richard Adams Russell, Inc.

Tom Lancaster, Instructor
Kit Johnson, Assistant

Twenty students constructed this Williamsburg Colonial home which featured a restoration style vinyl siding exterior, colonial stair railings, three bedrooms, a den-guest room, a great room with energy efficient fireplace and cathedral ceiling, a formal dining room, a dinette, two full baths, two half baths a large kitchen with daylight ceilings and a two car garage.  The one-half inch insulated  windows, steel insulated doors, R-38 insulated ceiling and an energy efficient furnace helped to make this house very energy efficient.  A free-flowing outside deck which overlooked a golf course was an added feature of the 16th home.

The design of this year’s home was chosen from several which were drawn in the Huron and Pioneer architectural drafting classes. Tom Lancaster was the instructor and Kit Johnson was his assistant.  Richard Russell was President and Builder of Record.  The home sold for $ 136,900.
