With the new theme, “Building A Future For Students,”
the home began under the continued direction of Board President
and Building Contractor Thomas McMullen. Direction of the
twenty-nine students was the duty of a new Instructor, Thomas
B. Lancaster, and his Assistant Ron Adams. Jim Sullivan
from Huron High School designed the house.
The 9th house featured four bedrooms, a family
room with stone and hand-hewn beam fireplace, two full baths,
two half baths (one in the basement), a full basement and a large
two-car garage. Vivian Bort, and Karen White, Instructors
for the Interior Design Class and their 31 students assisted
with the interior decorating. The home sold for $125,000.
