Tom McMullen of  Thomas B. McMullen Company, Inc. was elected the new President of the Board of Directors and became the Builder of Record for the eighth student home.  Student Builders for the project numbered 27 from both High Schools and were under the direct supervision of Instructor Richard Russell and Education Assistant, Stephen Rausch.

The home was designed by Dion McCarthy from the Huron High School Drafting Class instructed by Ray Zawacki.  Pioneer High Drafting Instructor Joe Dell’Anno and his class also submitted designs to be considered.  Nineteen interior design students under the instruction of Deborah Zornes, worked on the interior decoration with Bob Anderson.  This 8th quality home featured four bedrooms, a family room with stone and hand-hewn beam fireplace, two full baths, two half-baths (one in the basement), a full basement and a large two car garage.  The home sold for $ 97,000.
