Robert Haddick, Instructor

The 1970-71 School year saw the beginning of the first home.  Henry Landau, H. S. Landau, Inc. was Board President and Builder of Record.  Twenty six students from Huron and Pioneer High Schools were enrolled in the program and saw the project through to completion.  With assistance from local journeymen, craftsmen and the supervision of the program’s first instructor, Robert Haddick, they participated in every phase of the construction.

The first house had 2,200 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2 half-baths, dining room, kitchen with nook, utility room, family room with fireplace, 2 1/2 car garage, full basement with fireplace on a lovely wooded lot.   The house sold for $47,500 and with the profit from the first sale, the next project began.
